Anytime : Andrea and Melissa

You might recognize Mel from other posts, so here she is again with the portraits I took of her and her sister, Andrea. Melissa just got married and didn't get any sister pictures so we decided to go down to South Congress for some fun ones. We went on a Sunday thinking it would be quiet down there on a weekend...NOPE. There was a Bob Marley Festival going on. This actually made the shoot more fun and interesting. Gotta love Austin!!

Here are a few of our favorites.

Gotta have a little Amy's Mexican Vanilla ice cream....

We had to do one for a new head shot for Mel's website!

Engagement : Jeremy and Jenny

I've had the privilege of photographing people who are really close to me and who I love. First, my sister and now my best friend since we were little, Jenny. I have to share Jenny and Jeremy's story. I'm sure they don't mind. Their story, for someone looking in and I'm sure for Jenny as well, is a fairytale. Jenny, down and out and thinking her life was not turning out like she thought, had so many curve balls thrown her way. All the while, Jeremy sat back and patiently waited, maybe without fully knowing, for his soul-mate and woman he knew would be his wife.

Let's step back a little. Jeremy is the older brother of a good friend of ours from High School, Lara. He was around, but being 4 years older he was out of HS before we got in. But, as if God had His plan, Jenny, when she was 15 had given him a birthday card, and this past Christmas Jeremy gave it back to Jenny. Why would a 19 year old guy save a little birthday card from a 15 year old? Because, somewhere in there he knew that this little, innocent, fair-haired girl would one day mature and be his bride.

Now in the present. They had their first date, they courted (dated. whatever) and no more than 2 months and 8 days later (right) she said "I will." In some of the pictures to follow you will see a wooden bench. This is the bench Jeremy had made for Jenny as he proposed.
I couldn't be more happy for my best friend that she has found the person that makes her eyes light up, her smile shine bright, and her heart soar. Jenny and Jeremy, I couldn't be more happy for the two of you. I love you both, and I'm honored that I was able to capture your young love so full and strong, which will only get stronger with every year to come.

Enjoy.

one of my favorites...

I asked Jenny to do a cheerleader jump....

Jeremy is thinking "oh brother"

This one was just so sweet b/c it made her cry...him being
